AP English was a class that gave me much more than I expected this year. Much more work, writing, and reading. Much more work, writing, and reading. Fortunately, the class work resulted in improved reading skills and improved writing skills.
Although my writing hasn’t dramatically improved, it has come a long way since last year. My diction has changed for the better. Even though the idea of brainstorming was introduced a while ago, I truly began to use it to organize my essays before I write them this year. Making sure my thesis statement answers the topic question helped me further organize my body paragraphs.
I also began to use “bigger” words to further emphasize the emotions associated with the plot. The further detailed the plot, the more likely the reader will understand the story. Dialogue can help you detail your story and it adds character.
