AP English was a class that gave me much more than I expected this year. Much more work, writing, and reading. Much more work, writing, and reading. Fortunately, the class work resulted in improved reading skills and improved writing skills.
Although my writing hasn’t dramatically improved, it has come a long way since last year. My diction has changed for the better. Even though the idea of brainstorming was introduced a while ago, I truly began to use it to organize my essays before I write them this year. Making sure my thesis statement answers the topic question helped me further organize my body paragraphs.
I also began to use “bigger” words to further emphasize the emotions associated with the plot. The further detailed the plot, the more likely the reader will understand the story. Dialogue can help you detail your story and it adds character.

My College
College over the years has become much more significant in terms of obtaining a bright and successful future. The college you attend based on the popularity and relevance of the school amongst the highest paying professions is crucial. Attending a college or university with a not so known name doesn’t always get you as far as you need to go. Universities are meant to help you prepare yourself for the professional world, give you a sense of reality, and help you achieve your ambitions after college. Texas A&M allows me to excel through determination, offers many majors with great programs, offers financial aid programs, and also helps me get a job after college. I would love to attend this university for these reasons and others but the requirements are demanding.
The requirements to be admitted are a 520/630 for critical reading, 560/670 for math, and 500/610 for writing ,a high school transcript, a complete apply Texas application ,and a GPA of 2.5(on a 4.0 scale). Dorm and board are approximately in the same range as any other college.It is recommended for freshmans to live on campus to fully embrace the true "wonders" of college life. Fortunately, the life outside the classroom is filled with programs that will fulfill your needs to enjoy yourself. Basketball, football, soccer, baseball, honors programs, student government groups, and volunteer groups are just a few of the rewarding activities.
The cost for a in-state tuition with the expenses of food, a dorm, books, and other needed additional is about $20,614. I plan to pay for this through earning scholarships, working on campus, and with the additional help of parent payments. Another benefit Texas A&M offers are available on campus jobs. Working in the office, on campus, in fields, and in classrooms are all ways you can gain more money in your pocket or to help pay for your tuition.
Although Texas A&M is somewhat affordable, the fact that it's such a good school accounts for the hundreds upon thousands of high school graduates that apply to A&M every year. The competition amongst potential Aggies is competitive and to be accepted would be great but even more it keep me more than motivated to do all I can to earn my degree. I want to get my four years basic at A&M then transfer over to Baylor college of medicine in which i am seeking a doctrine. I am not completely certain but as of right now I want to become a pediatrician. Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. Reason being I love to do what I can to help and what better way can you help people. Plus, the salary is more than acceptably fair. Before applying to med school certain courses need to be taken which include one year of English, two years of Biology, one semester of college calculus or statistics, one year of physics, two years of chemistry, including one year of inorganic and one year of organic chemistry.
Finacial Aid
With the variety of ways to pay for college I will apply to as many scholarships as I can, no matter how many essays i have to write, I will apply to FAFSA, and gain as much finacial support as possible.
What FASFA Does
• Educating students and families on the process of obtaining aid;
• Processing millions of student financial aid applications each year;
• Disbursing billions of dollars in aid funds to students through schools;
• Enforcing financial aid rules and regulations;
• Servicing millions of student loan accounts, and securing repayment from borrowers who have defaulted on their loans; and
• Operating information technology systems and tools that manage billions in student aid dollars.
A student who can meet the following criteria may be eligible for aid:
is a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national, or an eligible non-citizen;
has a valid Social Security number;
has a high school diploma or GED or for adult students, pass an Ability-to-Benefit test;
is registered with the U.S. Selective Service (male students age 18–25);
completes a FAFSA promising to use any federal aid for education purposes;
does not owe refunds on any federal student grants;
is not in default on any student loans; and
has not been found guilty of the sale or possession of illegal drugs while federal aid was being received.
FAFSA has several different types of financial aid. The four most common types of aid:
Pell Grant – A grant of up to $5,550 for students with low EFCs.
Stafford Loans – A loan with interest set at 6.8%. If subsidized, the interest is paid by the government while the student is enrolled at least half time. If unsubsidized, the interest accumulates onto the outstanding balance.
Perkins Loans – A loan that is like the Stafford but is lent directly by schools that are Title IV-eligible.
The Federal Work-Study Program – A program where students can get part-time work, up to a certain amount, and have 75% of their wages reimbursed by the federal government.

Texas A&M
When I think of a place that would most prepare me for reality and the hardships of maintaining a suitable lifestyle I think of Texas A&M. Texas A&M demands for their students to excel pass expectations and establish a name for themselves, with the unconditional help provided by the faculty. While researching the requirements to be admitted i found that they are a 520/630 for critical reading, 560/670 for math, and 500/610 for writing and a GPA of 2.5(on a 4.0 scale). This University is made up of 10 colleges and many majors are available. There are 2,800 courses in a variety of over 150 fields. There are also over 800 student organizations and is consistently ranked in the top ten universities. Texas a&m is good at attracting students because the programs they offer are so righteous. These programs and this university allow students to flourish and that is why I would love to attend Texas A&M.
